Oral Cancer Screening

This type of cancer is generally very aggressive. With early diagnosis the prognosis improves significantly, however few patients receive comprehensive screening with proven technology.

Levinson Dental offers this screen at a very reasonable fee, because we

understand the importance in screening. We don't want the fee to stop any patient

from receiving this test. Oral cancer is not just a smoker's disease - and it is

affecting very young and otherwise healthy adults and teens. Even young children

are developing precancerous conditions. Ask about specifics at your appointment.

Tooth Whitening

Bleaching brightens your teeth that are stained or discolored with age.

This service can be done in the office in less than 2 hours, or with take

home gels that will whiten over a few weeks. You can then have that

picture-perfect, ageless smile with sparkling bright teeth.

Bonding

This technique can improve the appearance of teeth that are chipped, broken, cracked, stained,

or even teeth with spaces between them. A tooth colored material is applied (bonded) to the tooth surface. This is a subtle, non-invasive way to imporve your smile quickly and relatively inexpensively.

Enamel Shaping

This modifies the teeth to improve their appearance by removing or contouring the enamel. The process is often combined with bonding, usually this is quick and comfortable with immediate results.

Veneers

Veneers are thin custom-made shells deisgned to cover the front side of teeth.

Made of tooth-colored materials, veneers are used to treat spaces between the

teeth and teeth that are chipped or worn, permanently stained, poorly shaped, or

slightly crooked. Adults who missed orthodontics as children can often have their

teeth cosmetically "straightened" by using veneers instead of wearing braces.

These are also used to lengthen teeth and improve overall aesthetics when teeth are short or a smile shows lots of gums. There are unlimited ways to improve a smile using veneers.

Implants

This technique is used to replace missing teeth. A manufactured tooth connects to a steel rod that is surgically implanted into the jaw bone. The tooth then looks and functions like the missing natural tooth. Implants can be used to replace one tooth or a full mouth, depending on the patient. While expensive, this permanent tooth replacement will generally last a lifetime and the teeth look and feel fabulous!

Dentures

This procedure has come a long way in the past few years! While it is never good to lose your natural teeth, sometimes it is inevitable. Well-made dentures, using high quality materials, can look very natural and provide relief from years of bad teeth and battling decayed or damaged teeth. Sometimes they are used with an implanted bar that allows the denture to snap in place. This help minimize bone lose under the dentures that happens over time. If you currently have dentures that are older than 10 years you should discuss new optipns that are available.

Sealants

Kids just seem to get cavities, no matter how hard you work to prevent them.

Sealants are a varnish-type of material that is painted onto the child's permanent

teeth to help keep sugars and other damaging substances off the natural teeth.

While not preventing all decay sealants offer very good protection and we

recommend all children have their permanent teeth sealed periodically.

Gum Disease

There is a growing body of evidence that shows gum disease is directly linked to overall health. In some cases gum disease my be an indicator of other underlying immune conditions in a patient.

In other cases gum disease appears to directly lead to serious health conditions. Regular hygiene appointments will help keep your gums and teeth in their best condition. And good oral health helps fight against bad breath !
